When we are mindful, deeply in touch with the present moment, our understanding of what is going on deepens, and we begin to be filled with acceptance, joy, peace and love.

What is SomaCurious?

Soma: The body experienced from within
Curious: An active desire to learn or know

SomaCurious is a collaboration between three certified Somatic Movement Educators who are passionate about the benefits that our practices provide to clients. We want to create more awareness of how the principles of mind-body integration and self-exploration lead to better health and well being.

Somatic methods have grown in popularity as holistic care and mindfulness are gaining wider acceptance. At the same time, research in fields like neuroscience, psychology, and medicine provide a scientific basis for the effectiveness of somatic practices. Studies in the fields of neuroscience, psychophysiology, and pain management have linked somatic practices to reducing stress, enhancing mental and physical health, and improving overall well-being.

But we still have a long way to go! We’re on a mission to share perspectives from a wide range of somatic experts and practitioners to accelerate this shift towards self-care and personal empowerment through movement.
